Productions will be staged in the foyer/studio area of the Cork Arts Theatre where the maximum audience capacity is 30pax.  Final Settlement will be made to the production company by cheque on the Monday after their performances.

The Cork Arts Theatre will provide:

  • Front of House & Box Office Staff

  • Technical Support

  • A multi purpose, flexible set.

  • Advertising in the form of Posters, our summer brochure and our standard online publicity package.

  • Lunches for the audience

  • Insurance cover (under in-house show)

  • Split Royalties for the show

The companies will be expected to cover:

  • Actors' fees

  • Production overheads not covered by the theatre (e.g. costumes, props, additional technical equipment other than that owned by the Theatre)

  • Insurance cover for their cast & crew

  • The cost of programmes should they choose to have any (any profits taken from selling programmes would then go to the company)

  • Split Royalties for the show

WHAT ARE THE GUIDELINES FOR SUBMISSION?

We will accept submissions for any type of performance piece, including but not limited to plays (either new writing or established scripts), stand up comedy, music, opera, dance etc.  There are however a number of rules:

  • Submissions should include a cover letter telling us a little bit about yourself, a synopsis for the event (and a script if applicable), CVs of your cast & crew and a media pack (this would include any promotional material you may have e.g. reviews, promotional images etc.). If you don't have a media pack don't worry, however it is something you should begin putting together as it will be expected as part of any professional submission.

  • The event must last no less than 30minutes and no more than 40 minutes.

  • You must be available Wednesday, Thursday & Friday afternoons from 11am to 2pm during your allocated week.

REMEMBER. . .

    • The performance space is limited and will be unsuitable for certain events.

    • It should be a family friendly show!

    • Tried and tested productions will probably work better due to time constraints.

    • Small casts would be preferable due to the size of the available space and when it comes to dividing up your 40%

    • We would ask you to pencil book a date by 14th Feb. Full submissions to be made by Friday 27th April 2012

    • E-mail your submissions to info@corkartstheatre.com or post them for the attention of Dolores Mannion to Cork Arts Theatre, Camden Court, Carroll's Quay, Cork city.
