FULL-LENGTH PLAYS:
We are ALWAYS on the lookout for new full-length plays (41 to 80 pages only) for addition to our regular season. These may be sent year-round, and should include the critique fee €50 an SAE ( envelope for reply and evaluation only -- scripts are no longer returned) and a brief cover letter telling us a bit about the play and yourself. Your play will be read and carefully evaluated and you will receive at least one critique from qualified readers. If selected, your play will generally receive at least ten performances.ONE-ACT PLAYS:
Cork Arts Theatre :
NEW PLAYS :Submission Guidelines:
( One-Acts • Full-Lengths ) :There Are NO Restrictions On Content We do not shy away from strong language, violence, nudity or mature themes. Nor do we require them. Just tell us a good STORY
Minimal Sets & Small Casts Are Generally Preferred. Casts of 2 to 8 are optimal for full-length shows, but we will consider any solid play. Shorter plays, however, should have a cast of no more than 6 people. Less is usually better. Minimal set requirements will make your play much more marketable to more theaters.
The Scripts our read blind (our Critiques will not be aware of writer)
You would be surprised how many writers forget this.We accept all scripts year-round, but if you wish your One Act(s) to be considered It must be submitted before End of April. Full Lengths, End of November.
